Update

Friday is the last day of term 1 and I can't wait to be able to sleep in in the mornings for 2 weeks. For tech I am doing art and tomorrow I will be finishing my pretty picture of hills. For modules I am doing, CO2 powered cars which we have to make. I have to put 5 coats of paint on which I have nearly finished. When finished we will race the cars and see who has the fastest one. I hope to go bike riding in the school holidays.

Triathlon

Last week i entered in the Andrew Jones Memorial Triathlon at Rabbit Island. My team member did both the swimming and biking while I just did the running. Our team came second in our year 7/8 boys. At school I am learning the Ukulele, and it is fun.

Fish and Hamster

I have added to my blog some fish which I have to feed and also a hamster that also has to be fed. He also runs around a tread mill.

Our new dog

We have a new Border Colllie and his name is Jack.He is only 11 months old and has a lot of energy. Our other Border Collie Dan thinks he is fun to play with. He loves to play fetch with a tennis ball. He barks when strangers come to our place.

Reginals

Today me and a few kids from my school went to the Reginal X Country. We ran in our years (year 5 and year 6) . I was quite nervous before my race. I did really well by coming 5th so that means that next week I will be running against kids from Marlborough, Wellington and Christchurch. We had to run though mud and water and did the track twice which made 2 km. Next week we will be doing the same track.

X Country

Yesterday we did the X country at our school and I won my race for the year 6 boys. Hopefully now I will be able to go to the Regional X country, that is to be held soon. We are busy rehearsing for our production that is called Yesterday - Tomorrow. Its about now and the olden days.

Hi There

Yes I know it's been a while but I have been busy with life and school plus farm jobs. On Wednesday is the x country for our school. I can manage to do 2 km in 9 min 7 secs. I have been improving each day which makes me pleased. We are doing speeches at present which I hate but have to do. Mine is on my Spare Time.

swim week

Last week we had swim week at the Aquatic Centre where you had to be in the schools top group to go. We practiced our lengths and we learn' t to stay with our boat if it tips. i learnt how to dive and not do belly flops.

turtle

This is me and my brother holding a photo of "John" the leatherback sea turtle . We were asked by our grandma's pen friend who lives over in California, USA to help out her grandson and his class, also of California. It is a race in their class to see which turtle travels 6 continents the fastest and wins. Hopefully we will find out how "John" got on and will let you know. At the same time they are also learning about the continents that the turtles have travelled.

skiing

On the last day of school our class went up to the Rainbow Ski Field. I learnt how to ski and had a really great time. Some kids did snow boarding but i chose to ski.
We didn't have a snow ball fight because we ran out of time. When we got to the car park at Rainbow, we were met by the bus which took us up the hill. We then had a 90 minute ski lesson to show us what to do. It was a long day but fun.
